I was born and brought up in a small town in the North rift region of Kenya, with beautiful sceneries. The town was surrounded with tea plantations and the weather was quite chilly.

I remember growing up in a fair-sized house made of sandstone with the most beautiful picket fence I’d ever seen (well, that was then, can’t say the same now). Right now I’m like, it was designed without the least imagination because times have changed and the world  is embracing different styles when it comes to building and home decors.

We loved our home. My mother made sure it felt like a home, with flowers here and there and a bit of décor. It was a lovely home. I’ve grown up to love home decors because I was brought up in such an environment.

Style is a way to say who one is without having to speak. Some people look for a beautiful place, others make a place beautiful.  It is said that architecture is the bones, décor is the heart and art is the soul of a room.

People have different tastes and styles ranging from country style interior with a rustic atmosphere, others embrace vintage styles. Even now in modern times, others are going the traditional way, which is old fashioned but still familiar. Others are on the contemporary style, others are minimalistic(They say less is more). Their homes have simple designs and few patterns and colours. All these reflect the fashion trends of today.

Many shops are coming up in Kenya today because of the simple reason that décor is becoming something we cannot do without. One of them being the Home Décor, which has understood quite well that the key to great design is capturing the spirit of the client and the essence of space. Located along Moi Avenue in Nairobi, it has become a booming business in the sector of interior décor. This can be seen through their social media pages.

If you  need something emblazoned, bedecked, fancy, intricate or even ornamental for your home, Home Décor is the place to visit. Ranging from framed prints, throw pillows, fancy artificial plants, fairy lights, marble contact papers, and many more.
One can tell from checking out their social media page on Instagram that they have been providing quality and affordable products to their clients.

Their framed prints are quite interesting with words suitable for all rooms of the house. For lovers of flowers, you should definitely have one or even more of their flowers in your house. Flowers are a proud assertion that a ray of beauty out-values all the utilities of the world. They are restful to look at, they neither have emotions nor conflicts, they seem intended for the solace of ordinary humanity and they are words which even a babe may understand. To me, flowers are happiness.

Home Décor has very many interesting things that one can use to bring out elegance in a house. Since interior design is making the best use of the available space, Home Décor is making it easy for clients to find things they love, that are authentic to them and collect them to make their homes their story from the empty rooms that are actually stories waiting to happen.

Your home should always be a reflection of how you want to live right now and for the next phase of your life. The choice of décor, furniture and nick-nacks tells as much about a character as a long narrative about their background and personal history in a more interesting fashion.

Décor is the only way to run away without leaving home. Life should be chic, glamorous and colourful-and so should your home!
