Elite Athlete Amos Kipruto to Fly Landson Foundation flag In 2019

Amos Kipruto will be Landson's foundation 2019 good will ambassador. This is according to a statement by Landson's Alfred Koech, a director at the non profit organization which sponsors young athletes through education and talent growth.

According to Mr Koech, the athlete was selected for the ambassadorial post due to his hardworking nature. The athlete who hails from Nandi county, which also is the headquarters of the foundation has had a flourishing career in the marathon field.

Amos Kipruto first shot into the limelight in 2016 when he won his first major marathon in Rome. This was the first time he had debut in the marathon field. He has won several other notable marathon events. In 2017 he won the Seoul marathon after running in 2:05:54.

In the 2018 Berlin marathon, Amos came in second position after clocking a time of 2:06:20.

"The young athlete who was born in 1992 is not only an established marathoner,  but also an inspiration to upcoming athletes everywhere," said Mr. Alfred Koech.

On his part Mr Kipruto affirmed that he would take the challenge offered to him by Landson Foundation to ensure that he sees more young athletes succeed in their various fields. "I believe that fellow young athletes can achieve even more than others have done in the past." He said.

Landson foundation was established to cater for young athletes by ensuring that they excell both in the athletic and the academic world. The founder, Alfred Koech is himself an athlete based in Perth, Australia where he also studies at the Edith Cowan University.

The organization is currently sponsoring a number of athletes in various schools across Kenya.
