That Allan Kosgey will be vying for a political seat in Nandi is a matter that can no longer be disputed. The youthful lawyer has been traversing through various constituencies in the county raising political eyebrows.

Previously, Allan had sought an elective seat in Uasin Gishu County where he lost to the incumbent Kesses member of parliament, Mishra Kiprop.

During the disputed Nandi Hills constituency elections, it was noted that Allan had began an underground familiarization campaign, suggesting that he would throw himself into the Nandi Hills seat race if the courts were to nullify the election of Hon. Alfred Keter.

After the long court processes, the Supreme court upheld the election of Alfred Keter. Most political observers thought that this would bring to rest, the question of the young Kosgey. However, that has not been the case. Though the political temperatures have cooled down, the  young lawyer is still very much involved in the local politics of the county.

Interestingly, Allan has widened the scope of his engagements. He now moves and engages people beyond Nandi Hills constituency bringing the notion that he might be eyeing something bigger in the county.

Some political observers have intimated that he might be eyeing the Senate seat currently being held by vocal legislator Samson Cherargey. Others have intimated that he might have a stab at the top county seat, facing off with the incumbent, who is also a lawyer, governor Stephen Sang.

Allan Kosgey has had a successful career as a lawyer and is listed among the legal team that represented former industrialization minister and long time Tinderet member of parliament Hon. Henry Kosgey at the International Criminal Court (ICC). They put up a strong defense team that eventually saw the cases dropped.

Soft spoken as he is, the young Kosgey has slowly been immersing himself into the political world. His philanthropic ways have served to further endear him to the masses. He is slowly gaining traction and any serious political player can no longer ignore his political moves.

Both governor Sang's and senator Cherargey's teams have been urging Allan to go for the Nandi Hills seat, a clear indicator of how much they are trying to avoid a political face-off.

On his part, Allan has played his cards close to his chest without clearly indicating his true intentions. He has managed to keep political pundits in suspense.

Only time will reveal his intentions.
