Nandi Governor Stephen Sang Reshuffles His Cabinet

Nandi County Governor Stephen Sang has this afternoon reorganised his administration.

The Governor announced changes to his County Executive Committee in what he said was aimed at improving service delivery.

Governor Sang retained five CEC in their dockets. They are Alfred Lagat(Finance and Economic Planning), Teresa Morogo(Administration, Public Service and e-Government), Elly Kurgat(Sports and Youth Affairs), Ruth Koech(Health and Sanitation) and Eng. Hillary Koech(Transport and Infrastructure).

Wilson Taiy has been moved to Tourism, Culture and Social Department, Jacob Tanui to Trade, Investment and Industrialization, Valentine Chumo to Education and Vocational Training, Stanley Baliach to Lands, Environment and Natural Resources and Dr. Kiplimo Lagat moved to Agriculture and Cooperative Development.

The Governor also announced changes of Chief Officers(COs). Mohamed Feisal has been moved to the Trade and Investment department, Dr Rose Serem moves to Industrialization and Cooperative Development, Wilson Leley to Agriculture, Benedatte Tiony to Cooperative Development, Meshack Malakwen to Finace and Daniel Sang will now be in charge of Basic Education.

The Governor also pointed out that he had notified the Public Service Board to create a new position of Chief Officer Vocational Training.

Chief Officers who were retained include; Felix Sambu(Economic Planning), Solomon Mangira(Lands, Environment and Natural Resources), Jonah Biwott(Transport and Infrastructure), Dr. Paul Lagat(Medical Services), Sally Jerugut Kemboi(Preventive and Promotive Health), Beatrice Jemurgor(Tourism and Culture), Kennedy Tanui(Sports), Philip Towett(Social Welfare), Nelson Ligaga(Youth Affairs), Jonathan Misoi(ICT and e-Government),  Scholastica Tuwei(Administration and Decentralized Units) and Grace Sugut(Public Service Management).

According to the Governor the changes take effect immediately.
