The legislator stated that the governor had no moral grounds to lecture Kenyans on issues to do with corruption as he was the greatest beneficiary of the vice at the coast. He termed Mr Joho's aspersions as baseless and unbecoming. "Joho has been involved in illicit drug trade at the coast and has greatly affected the youths from the region." Said Mr Sudi.
Over the weekend, Joho had visited Baringo county after visiting MZEE Moi at his Kabarak home. He attended a rally in Tiaty where he critiqued the high levels of corruption in the country that was affecting service delivery. He stated that he was supporting president Kenyatta's purge on corruption and that he was in support of the building bridges initiative.
This did not go down well with Sudi who called the members of the press to downplay Mr Joho's forays into the Rift Valley. He said that Joho ought to be in Kamiti prison for the offenses he had committed against his Mombasa county residents.
"Joho deserves to be in Kamiti, he has time and again been involved in the illegal drug businesses, his counterparts in the businesses suffered a blow when president Kenyatta blew one of their ships in Mombasa, were it not for the governorship, he would also be in jail," said Mr Sudi.
"I know he is trying to con President Kenyatta so as to go back into his illegal businesses" he further stated.
The 2022 succession politics has already kicked off with new alliances being formed in preparation for the political season.
