Nandi jubilee gubernatorial nominee Stephen sang has reiterated that the county will not renew the expired leases held by multi nationals in Nandi. The leases are expected to expire sometimes in 2018.

Sang has assured the residents that the county government will take over the management of these large estates. He said that the county will set up boards to run these organizations.

During the jubilee nomination fiasco, the leases became a part of the campaign tools for most of the contenders with each of them having their own version of how best they would tackle the issue of expired leases.

With close to a week to the polls,  it is now clearer that Nandi county will become the new owner of the vast tracks of land.
