Tinderet legislator and first time member of parliament Hon. Julius Melly had the privilege of hosting the head of state in his constituency yesterday when the jubilee leaders toured the region on a campaign mission.

Mr Melly and a host of other leaders led by the jubilee gubernatorial nominee, Stephen Sang received the head of state when he landed in Nandi together with his deputy and a host of jubilee leaders.

"Tinderet residents now have a reason to smile owing to the fact that the presidential visit yielded a host of development projects for the area," said Hon Melly. "The jubilee administration has the people of Nandi at heart. The farmer's will be paid dues owed to them by the sugar factories," he said.

Here are some of the projects to be spearheaded by the government in tinderet

*The government will issue all the internally displaced persons in the region with cheques by friday

* Ksh 300 million will be paid to all farmers who had arreas owed to them by Chemelil sugar company

* Construction of the Kebeneti-mbogo vale-Maraba-Kabirer-Koisagat-Mogobich Lessons road

* The president also promised to waive loans by the coffee farmers.

The president and his deputy are expected to make a second visit in the region towards the end of July with an aim of inspecting the progress of the said projects.

Hon Melly also took the opportunity to thank his residents for the love they accorded the head of state and his deputy.
