After emerging victorious in the recently concluded primaries, the incoming governor Stephen Sang has promised the residents of Mosop and the larger Nandi that he is going to name a female deputy governor. Speaking to residents at an event, the vocal legislator promised the residents of an efficient and hard working deputy who will hail from the vote rich Mosop sub county.
After trouncing his fierce rivals, the current Nandi senator has held a series of meet the people tours aimed at thanking the electorate for unanimously voting for him. There had been speculations that his close ally Jacob Tanui would be the pick, however, through his official social media handle, both Mr Tanui and Sang have come out to clarify on the issue. Mr Tanui a resident from Mosop, played an integral role during the campaigns.
"In the spirit of the " tuga tai" change movement and in line with our manifesto of the all inclusive regime, we wish to state that the position of the deputy governor is reserved for a lady," came the official communication from the team!
The choice of the female has been speculated on the various social media platforms. It is only the governor elect who will clear the said issue with time.
